I was sitting at the light and I see in my mirror a 2000 Tran-Am pull next to me. It was red and had a god awful big, silver, bird thing on his hood. I thought, here comes a woopin’. (Me takin’ not givin’.) I didn’t even look over. I just thought if he goes I go. And he went. (Damn it.) So I punch it. He spins through first so I take the lead, and then second and he passes me with ease. We were on Main Street so we shut it down quick. I pulled next to him at the next light and asked what he had. He said “LS1 with heads and cam.” Well at least I know where I stand. Oh well. More money, more fast.

im surprised he didnt say "cam only, its a cam only car". i get that **** all the time. beating stock ls1s by 4-5 lengths but its a "cam only car". ya right

 

i raced 1 LS1. it was stock and wasn't not thang.

Heads and a cam can go a loooong way, depending on which heads and cam. Hell, a guy in my local club just went 10.99 with just a big cam and supporting bolt-ons.[:-]


13.5 isn't too tough to beat.

Eh, a guy in a bolt-on 99-04 showed me his tail light at the track. Not a real long mod list either, just a stall, ET Streets, and I think a coupla suspension mods. He whooped me good, even with a lower trap speed.

 

Don't worry about, just remember that in a Mustang you gotta Pay a little more to Play a little harder.
