are you going to run this friday??

maybe if you had someone stand with their feet inthe prestage and stage beams, and you just started in the burnout box, and when the light turned green, let it roll and hit it at the line?

If he runs an 11.1 and you flew past him, what king of times are you turning in the 1/4?
He may not have sprayed jdaniel.
How can you run 11.1 with only 385 rwhp in a Camaro SS? Maybe he meant 485?

I was trying to understand how you run 11.1 at only 118 mph, with a heavy car and less than 400 HP

I was on my way home today with some hotwings for dinner when I pulled up to a redlight next to a 2002 Camaro SS. I looked over at the guy and he was looking straight ahead. The light turns green and we take off slowly because there are tracks just after the light. We get over the tracks and he gooses it. I couldnt do a thing because there is a car in my lane just ahead. So I slow down and fall in behind him to get around the car in my lane. Just as I get enough room to get back into the left lane, he guns it. I hit it and walked around him as if he were in a Yugo.

So he follows me and asks me to pull over and that I did. He gave me some great compliments (he said he's only been passed like that once and it was by a crotch rocket) LOL. Anyhoo... come to find out that he has a Moser 12 bolt in the rear, QA1 adjustable shocks all the way around, a 150 wet shot making 385 hp and 500 ft lb of tq. The motor was otherwise stock with a beefed up auto tranny. His best time in the quarter was an 11.1 @ 118 mph with a 1.5(?) short time. He was a cool guy and works in the hanger next to mine. He is gonna go to the track with us this friday.
Nice kill but I have a question...I dont' know what your car runs so, did he give a shot of juice or was your win n/a on both cars?

maybe GOD fell asleep when his motor was built? you are right, cause then his motor
without juice only makes 240hp or so?? sounds really under rated IMO.

Am I the only one that sees a problem with that? With a 150 shot, that car should have around 425-430 at the wheels...

But nice kill...(Like you expected any different with a 1,000,000,000 hp KB Cobra.)

LOL! That made my day.

12.1

Lets clarify that.. 12.1 @ 121 mph with a 2.3 short time on street tires with Texas heat of 100+, DA of over 4000ft, AND a slipping clutch. Once I get the suspension done and a new clutch I should trap 130+.

He didnt have the bottle hooked up. I asked him to hook it up and lets go to the local race spot and he said he doesnt run the bottle with street tires... too much power! I was like WHAT! Thats when I told him I was pushing 700 to the wheels on street tires. He didnt have much to say after that. LOL

A 150 shot on a 2002 LS1 should easily be well above 450rwhp, and 550lb ft tq.

Good kill though, im a fan of the impromtu races.
