2002 Camaro SS..

Lets clarify that.. 12.1 @ 121 mph with a 2.3 short time on street tires with Texas heat of 100+, DA of over 4000ft, AND a slipping clutch. Once I get the suspension done and a new clutch I should trap 130+.

Whoa, you ONLY trapped 121? I would have figured the 12.1 would have been at like 130 or so.....
You couldnt even take a stock C6 Z06.....

of course he could run low 11's. the guy has alot of suspension work and 500 ft./lbs torque. It is a low trap for those speeds though, i agree. J dan, what do you expect to run with a 130ish trap speed?
Well, right now im on 2" lowering springs which is really killing me. I can roast the tires at 70 mph. No weight transfer. So when im at the track, I cant even get into it till third gear. I have to really short shift 1st and 2nd, so yes... a C6 would probably eat me alive FROM A DIG! lol As soon as I get the Hard launch kit (which is on the way) for the IRS then I wont be afraid to launch it a little harder and on slicks. Once im able to get the appropreate speed in first and second gear, then im sure I will pick up five to ten miles per hour in the quarter allowing me to run a much better 60 foot and hopefully a low 11 or high 10. Im not gonna say mid 10's at this minute, although the car has all it needs to run that. I need to get down to Strictly and get tuned for the 25 lb pully and C16 race fuel.
For a point of reference, a buddy of mine with a 2002 Z28 with a 150 shot and a few choice bolt-ons (but still the stock exhaust manifolds and y-pipe) went 11.17 @ 122 on a 1.55 60 ft, thanks to the ET Street radials. That should give you some idea of what traction can do for your ET.

He didnt have the bottle hooked up. I asked him to hook it up and lets go to the local race spot and he said he doesnt run the bottle with street tires... too much power! I was like WHAT! Thats when I told him I was pushing 700 to the wheels on street tires. He didnt have much to say after that. LOL

Nice kill but I have a question...I dont' know what your car runs so, did he give a shot of juice or was your win n/a on both cars?

I was on my way home today with some hotwings for dinner when I pulled up to a redlight next to a 2002 Camaro SS. I looked over at the guy and he was looking straight ahead. The light turns green and we take off slowly because there are tracks just after the light. We get over the tracks and he gooses it. I couldnt do a thing because there is a car in my lane just ahead. So I slow down and fall in behind him to get around the car in my lane. Just as I get enough room to get back into the left lane, he guns it. I hit it and walked around him as if he were in a Yugo.
So he follows me and asks me to pull over and that I did. He gave me some great compliments (he said he's only been passed like that once and it was by a crotch rocket) LOL. Anyhoo... come to find out that he has a Moser 12 bolt in the rear, QA1 adjustable shocks all the way around, a 150 wet shot making 385 hp and 500 ft lb of tq. The motor was otherwise stock with a beefed up auto tranny. His best time in the quarter was an 11.1 @ 118 mph with a 1.5(?) short time. He was a cool guy and works in the hanger next to mine. He is gonna go to the track with us this friday.

Yeah... I think I will trap a lot higher than 122 though. I just know that I cant get into it till third and im losing a lot of speed right there.
Local guy here had a KB Cobra w/low 600rwhp and did 10.9@128. Another guy with Vortech 94Cobra w/750+rwhp trapped over 135mph. KB car had 315 Nittos and the 94 had ET streets. With 700+ on urs, u should be in the 130's for sure on a good pass. Must be nice to roast the tires at 70mph

Thats what im hoping for. It is fun to roast the tires at any speed, but it kinda gets old. Sometimes you wanna just get set back in your seat on takeoff and not sit and spin. lol
