5.0LX
Well I have a neighbor down the street that is selling a 93 LX automatic with 108k (cobra throttle body, flowmasters, K&N filter, chrome stars, shift kit, 373's, and a 2inch cowl) I am new to the mustang thing but I was looking for a cheaper 5.0 or young 4.6L im 18 so i cant get a cobra or anything like that insurance would kill me. I was just wondering what I need to watch out for on these 5.0's and if you guys would trust this one for a few years I just want it through college. Are you they reliable?

damn... and here I thought you were hitting on me. [>:]
Do a carfax on it, see if it's been in any accidents or if it has a rebuilt/salvage title.
quiz the owner on basic maintenance issues.
when was the timing belt changed, how long between oil changes, check for fuel leaks.
Test drive it, granny shift into each gear, if they grind granny shifting, they'll grind during slamming, etc.
visually check over the engine with a flashlight, ensure there isn't any leaks anywhere on the engine. Any liquid on the engine needs to be looked at suspiciously to figure out if there is and where a leak might be.
