who said that ? stock for stock an srt-4 is usually .1 to .3 quicker than a 99-04 gt

Since everyone here feels a pre-05 GT can beat an SRT-4, then I guess an RSX would be no more challenging than a tri-cycle.

The RSX is a joke. Seriously, a stock auto vert GT with a set of 15s in the back would still embarass the hell outta one.

14 flat with a decent driver, consistently
a 99-04 take a proffessional to hit a 14.1, and thats rare.
and from a roll, dont even think about it, we'd get walked like we were racing a ls1 or 2
is it the cobalt that is fast?

I have seen plenty of "non proffessional" drivers run 14.0s and even 13.9s with bone stock 99+ GTs.
And a cobalt SS isn't gonna run a 14.0 stock, even with john force at the wheel.

I have a little more respect after I raced my buddies s2000, he had video of an rsx racing him and they stay door to door, In a race against the s2k I also stayed side by side the whole way from 60-125, I have an 03 GT with BBK cai and pulleys, Flomaster American Thunder catback and 3.73 gears in back. this is a link to the s2k vs. rsx forum and a link to the video below it. the rsx only had an open race header

I bought my Cobalt SS because I figured tht aftermarket would be nice for a S/C car.
The GM stages kits will turn thes cars into a decently fast car, but where are the GM kits?
Simply put though running low 14's in a S/C 2.0 is impressive.

Okay, there's a comment I can actually somewhat agree with you on. 4 banger with a S/C for the price is pretty good (I wouldn't go so far as impressive). Impressive would be factory car does mid-high 13's at the current price range. I'm sure that will eventually be a reality..
