someone on here had a video of his stock 99+ (except catback) vs a stock SRT-4 and he won. barely, but still won. heh.. i hosted the video for him. it was later linked to SRT-4 forums where all the excuses started.

one was just from a dig (we were at the red light and talked ans asked if wanted to race etc)
he had a bov and intake exhaust.
just bomb'd him at the jump and he his front bumper was at my rear at about 80 or so. and we let off.
and then raced a stock one (so he said) from a roll at 20 and a dig (won both times)
from the dig I jump out way on them... and from the roll it was pretty even at first then I start getting out in front.
I had no power mods at this time etc... even had stock air filter.
you should be able to take him from both the roll and dig IMO.

With those mods you have listed and planned you should be able to take him. Yes around here most of the srt-4 guys like going after the 99-04 mustang GT's. They don't like to play with me as much. [

take this from personal experiance,, IF you do NOT get the gears, you will lose
from a roll, and from a dig, cause i would guess 100MPH from a dig is very close to a 1/4 mile
and from the roll, it'd be worse
however, if you get the 3.90's (or man it up and go 4.10's) you'll have a MUCH better shot at taking him from the roll I raced a stock srt 4 with my mods at the track, i'll post the slip up at the bottom
but my second gear was stronger, his 3rd (their power gear) he pulled less than i did on him in 2nd, and i was realing him in 4th quite strongly,then that damn line came up[&:]
with the gears from a dig though, there is a good chance you'll lose, stock tires + gears = bad launch
but if you go with some nice dr's and gears, you can have a shot at him either way, dig or roll

i would get the 4.10's but i am goin with the 3.90's cause i am planning on supercharging (KB twin screw) by the end of the summer, maybe i should wait till then haha that would give him a run for his money

Those two cars are on par with each other stock, an 02 GT with the mods he listed... I'll bet the guy will get a good look at the Mustang taillights.

if you plan on a KB, you should get the 3.73s. KB even recommends 3.73 for their kit at the most. someone posted the sheet in pb&j. if you were getting a vortech or something, i'd say 4.10 all the way.

They are VERY hard to launch, but the reason they come out of the hole so bad is because they blow the tires off. From driving my wife's, they are pretty nasty from a 40 punch.
