I really don't think the car in question was an SRT-4. Seriously.

 

I doubt it was a srt4. From a roll like that you wouldnt have pulled on him .
this is coming from an x srt owner.stock is 13.99 in 1/4 and with minor bolt ons (manual boost controller,downpipe,cai,safc,stage 1) you can easily hit 12's.
mopar has the stage 1,2,3 kits.stage 3's hit the 11's on slicks.
also it could have been a 50 trim.
Endless possibilities.

Srt-4's can be made quick, but they are just ugly to me. I wouldnt own one unless I could find it for under $10,000, and then I'd make it a daily driver.

 

yeah. i don't care how fast the SRT-4 is. it's still a damn NEON. it's funny when you call it a neon in front of the SRT-4 owners. they get so mad and fight with you saying "IT'S NOT A NEON! IT'S AN SRT-4!!!" besides, most of the people driving them are kids whose mommy and daddy bought it for them and can't drive worth a damn. so they always want to race from a roll.

 

i own a NEON srt-4. and no mom and dad didn't buy it for me (i am 36). there are alot of srt-4 owners who think when you call it a neon you are putting it down. sorry but it is a neon, with one hell of a powerplant. and i hate racing from a roll, that **** is stupid. if you can't launch this neon from a stop then you deserve to get beat.

 

Welcome to the site. My brother has an SRT-4. It is cool to see another cool SRT owner. He calls his a neon too. I like SRT-4s. I think they are a cool little car, my brothers is quick and really fun to drive.

 

that's why i said MOST owners. i never single out every single person. i know better than that. i cover my tracks.

you know damn well a majority of the SRT-4 owners prefer racing from a roll (preferably around 40mph), since a lot of cars won't be able to touch them.

 

Most of the faster SRT-4s around here run high 11's at 122-123 mph. A Camaro or Mustang with that kinda trap speed usually runs low 11s (a friend of mine went 11.17 @ 122). From a roll, my friend would probably be even with one of those quicker SRT-4s, but from a dig on a dragstrip it wouldn't be too close. That's probably why most of the SRT-4 guys prefer to work the roll patrol, especially against V8s.
