I believe everybody has made their point on what will happen.....
Get some gears and a shot of gas, and youll be fine. Id say a good 150 shot should give you enough boost to overtake him.......
And blackcobra94....... if youre outrunning a 99 cobra by only a carlength, you wouldnt be staying with an LS1 camaro. I ran my friends FULL BOLT ON, geared 01 cobra several times when i ha donly a lid. On the highway, it would be a good 1-2 cars i would pull. From a dig it was different, he had sticky tires and 4.10's so it wasnt pretty for me from a dig. [>:]

A roll race isnt even a real race. All 96-98, 99, and 01 cobras really need do keep up with an LS1 is a set of 4.10s. The LS-1s are faster stock for stock, but it doesnt really take a whole lot to get those cars up to par with one.

You dont think thats enough to beat most stock LS-1s? He will have better gearing, similar power, less weight, and better traction.
I could be wrong, but I think thats enough to take a stock LS-1, from a dig at least.

99-01 Cobras run mid 13s stock. Full bolt ons and a gear and you beat it with a lid????? You car stock ran what maybe 13.3 at best being a 98. A cobra like you described puts down at least 325 where as your car put down with a lid about 290 since there is no LS6 intake on your car stock. Some of the stuff you say sounds like bs. Go ahead flame away I will have a comeback.

A cobra like you described puts down at least 325 where as your car put down with a lid about 290 since there is no LS6 intake on your car stock. Some of the stuff you say sounds like bs. Please please, argue with me a bit more about WHAT I ****ING EXPERIENCED FIRST HAND.
Have you ever driven a BONE STOCK, 3.27 geared 99/01 cobra? Sloooooooooow. Id be surprised if those dog **** slow cars broke a 13 bone stock. Anyone who thinks a cobra is a mid 13 second car from the factory is ignorant. The gears in those cars were ridiculous. 3.27 for a 7k redlining car? Wtf? They finally got it right and slapped the 3.55's in them for 03.
My friends cobra at the time put down 317hp and 299lb tq. I put down 315/337. The cobra is also a vert, which i negelected to mention.
As i said, he would walk me from a dig. From a highway roll though, wed stay even for a bit, then id pull away top end.
Theres more to racing than horsepower. And 99/01 cobras do not pick up 55rwhp from bolt ons. Its a 4.6, not a 6.0.
But please, go ahead and argue with the FACTS that i have just shown you.
Oh, and 00 SLVR Z, can you explain to me why gears add horsepower? Because you said this: "With full bolt ons and geared, you are right...it should be about 325-330 HP".
I was unaware that putting a steeper gear in your car actually ADDED horsepower. I was under the impression that on a dyno with steeper gears it would read less, due to the fact 4th gear (the pulling gear) is no longer a 1:1 ratio.
Oh, and the fact that GEARS ADD NO ****ING HORSEPOWER WHATESOEVER.
