Default Dont Laugh

Yes I know I have a V6 but still I want to race this my buddy. He has a 87 944 turbo. COMPLETELY stock. I am wondering how badly I am going to get beat. I would say that we are equal drivers, both decent... So what do you think how bad and how many car lengths will he have on me? I have raced him before when he was driving his cav. I absolutely killed him but no whe is driving his dads porsche since he blew a head gasket in the cav. The porsche has like 160k on it so its not brand new but it is decent.

1986 Porsche 944 Turbo 6.0 14.6
these are the specs of a 86 so I dont think the 87 will be much different, so to me I would say that from a roll he wont CRUSH me just beat me hard and from a dig he will take me
and these are the specs for a 88

I raced my ex gf's friend in her '88 944t when I had my v6... I only lost by about 2 lengths man... they really arent that quick. If you can drive and if its starting to dip in hp from age and wear over time (an 87 with 160k should see atleast a LITTLE drop), then you will probably hang through first and second. Go from a dig and see what you can do.

See I was thinking to go from a roll cuz that is where I am the closest in paper stats with him but we will go from both a roll and dig multiple times I am sure haha... What year V6 and what did you have done to it???

00' bright gold v6, Long tubes with no cats, o/r H, and flow's, CAI, 4.10s. It was an auto.

Turbo's are almost always better from a roll.. they get full boost at WOT usualy between 3500-4000 RPMS and just pull like mothers. Any car with similar numbers to yours with a turbo will probably beat you from a roll just due to that. With the torque and gearing in a larger engine you should beat him off the line and he'll play catchup. I could beat my friends 88CRX that he threw a turbo on from a dig every time, but if we went from a roll anywhere over 20 it was tail lights all the way.

Edit- forgot something on the 6'er

even though the turbos that they had on those were tiny and really crappy?? I guess I would agree with you on that there is no arguing that a turbo car is good from a roll unless its like a turbo geo storm or something haha
