I own an 05 SRT-4 (winter car), but have never had it dynoed. Over on our sister site, dodge forums, quite a few stock SRT's put down low/mid 230's to the wheels, so I wouldn't call it a freak. Dodge, as long as I can remember, has fudged their numbers for insurance reasons. I had a 71 Challenger with a 340 that was rated at 275 HP, but most of them put closer to 300 to the wheels.

if an srt-4 is putting down nearly 15-20 more horsepower than a 99-04 GT,, how can it be such a close 1/4,, both are capable of a 13.9-14.1 stock and the mustang is heavier

i mean, obviously the answer would have to be torque, but what kind of #'s for that does a neon put down?

He now claims that he put down 247 bone stock and there are other srt-4s that run 13.6@105 stock.
i would have believed him up to this statement

im pretty sure no stock srt-4 is putting 247 hp to the wheels
and 13.6 would be hauling butt,
seems pretty unrealistic to me

He now claims 237, I love when they backpeddle and change their story.
If it was a typo... its prolly true... THe SRT-4 in my team managed to put down 237fwhp also when he was all stock on the dyno, we believe it to be a possible factory freak lol... & he must of been one hell of a driver to pull 13.6 stock, but if it is a 237whp freak.. its possible.
I think you must have a very friendly dyno. This would be the first car I have ever heard of that puts down more to the wheels than it is rated at the flywheel.

It's pretty normal for these cars.

I haven't heard of 13.6 stock, but if the crappy mainstream magazine drivers (they just don't try too hard) can run 13.9 then 13.6 isn't too far from the realm of believability.
Most people didn't think my car (castrated with an auto and 2.73 gears) would trap 105 bone stock but it did, best of 105.79. Sometimes cars can surprise you.

i saw a srt-4 with a cold air intake put like 246fwhp..... pretty dang crazy i think.... turbo cars love breathing better though..... also, yea dodge did really say they have less power than what they have. ever srt-4 has dynoed about what its got at the crank that dodge says, to the wheels. or more in alot of cases. dodge underrated them big time i think..... and yea, mustangs pwn them at the track cause fwd is harder to launch normally and we have much more torquey cars. when i drove a srt-4 once, i drove it 60-100. that thing could get up and go up in the higher rpms and speed.
