Default 5 speed vs.auto

I think that it will be close. A good driver will help, but 95redGt is right, our cars came with almost 260ft/lbs of torque stock. Thats a buch. And with some mods, its only better, he will take you out of the hole.

About by how much does an auto falls behind in the 1/4. say an 2004 auto vs 2004 manual. Or a 2004 autovs 1994-1998 manual. katamaster38008.8530555556
A manual mustang will always be faster than a auto, stock anyways. The simple fact is that the manual can launch at any rpm it wants were as the auto is limited by a weak stock converter and crappy shift points from the factory. Yeah if the auto came from the factory with 3400 stalls and awesome shift points, then it would be an even race, but thats not gonna happen.

So this Trans Am was a... Firebird? T/As only come with 6spds, the V6 Firebirds come with 5spds.

LMFAO, nice first post. But in all seriousness, this thread is over 3 years old, and your stock 95 GT with an auto runs mid to low 15's, compared to low 14's for the 00 GT and low 13's for the Trans Am, and again, LMFAO.
