Damn My car could beat most of those vetts except for the 79s and 80s, now that's what I call terrible, loosing to a 98 sn95 auto, although my car is moded.

 

My 75 came with 165Hp, stock. You cant get too much power out of the original block from what I hear, but I've managed to squeeze around 300 with an entire Cam up change. The Cam was so small back then. Dont get cocky though, There's kids like me that have actually done a little something to their Vette. I have beaten a few GT's, granted they were the SN95 body style(not the Edge) that had a few mods and Manual tranny, but like you said, " A Kill's a kill." nice one by the way.

Srry forgot something. The Cross Fire sucked, The TPI setup is what you need to look for to beat. Probably one of the best FI systems. I had one on my Vette when I bought it and it had a little more power than normal. Not more than now though.

To be fair, that was the first electronic fuel injection. The first fuel injected Vette was in 1957. Don't remember the 1 hp per cubic inch? 283 fuelie made 283 horses.

But yes...The Cross Fire was probably the worst system ever released on a production vehicle.

 

No offense Torch, but the day my V8 Mustang loses to a N/A six banger is the day it ends up in Autotrader. I know there is fast ones out there, but I would still be pissed.

O no I am deffinately not gettin cocky I have raced a couple corvettes just cuz I wanted to see how badly I would be crushed and this is the first time my jaw dropped and I was actually saddened when I beat someone. I was a lil bit like i am sorry for racing you because the corvette use to be my fav. car but not anymore haha
