V6 VS. Vette
Alright so this weekend I was coming home from droppin my GF off at her house and I come down a hill by my house and see a late 70's vette sittin at the red light that I am rolling towards. Well it was a real nice lookin car and I hadnt raced for a while so I was like ehh I know I will get dominated but what the he** why not. So the light changes as I am rolling toward it and the vette starts to go as I roll past I am in second and I tap my gas and make my car hop a bit he does the same we both nail it as the same time and I didnt even shift into 3rd because by the end of 2nd he was a my rear bumper and I was coming up to my street. I cant believe it though I beat a vette that was actually trying. It was a late 70's and I looked up some stats on them and they are pretty slow but still a vette is a vette and a kill is a kill
yeah, those vettes in the late 70's early 80's really sucked in the HP dept stock. They can be made beasts, but if someone wants to keep it all original (which for a vette is pretty common.. a lot more so then most stang's), then the 79 - 82 vettes (none in 83, body change in 84) are all rated at only 190hp to the crank and 280lbs of torque.

nope. I think that started in 85.. 82 and 84 were cross fire injected... first (horrible) attempt at fuel injection on the vette. The 85's were literaly a full second quicker then the 84's.
