Default Two deaths, One Kill

I had a lot of fun this weekend and only died twice for one kill. Good news first: The '04 GT. I was crusing out a large 4-lane with a friend of mine, and some young guy (I'm a young guy myself, but you get the point) comes up beside me and revs up. Multiple times. He sounded good--almost as good as me. Well, I couldn't resist it, so I threw my car into third gear (doin' about 60) gave him the horn honks and dumped it. The little bastard tried to jump me and started probably half a second before me, but I ran him down and had him by over 3 cars at 135 (where I decided, I'd better slow down since some State Trooper would LOVE to find me) and he went flying at 100 plus. Didn't see him again after that.

Later on that night I followed two new 'friends' out to an old back road (lovely straight road) for some fun. One was driving a manual Mach 1 with an intake, exhaust, gears and tires. The other was driving a manual '95 Convertible GT with a built bottom end, headers and a whole lot of spray (150 shot) and tires, too.

I ran the Mach 1 first. He beasted out of the hole, but I started catching him before the end of the quarter. He beat me by a car.

The GT I ran next. He got me in the dig too, with smoke shooting out his muffler like a damn fog machine. I started to reel him in too, but not nearly enough. He had me by a car and a half.

The Mach and GT went next. The GT won by half a car.

Other than saying that he wouldn't spray, the GT guy was nice and so was the other guy. It was a fun night altogether.

I have come to the realization that I need good tires. I mean my damn car will do a loud bark on the tires when you throw it into fourth gear...

Default RE: Semi-great weekend.

A kit consisting of a hotter cam and a few other minor stuff. Originally only 100 were built in '97 and were rated at 330hp as opposed to the base SS LT1 305hp. Bone stock they consistently ran low 13s. The dude who owned my car before me had this put on as an aftermarket ordering SLP package from Summit racing. So my car wasn't one of the original 100, but it's faster than one, hehehe...
