My friend's father in law just got a 05 maxima and he says it hauls...they have like 270 hp, right? They are all luxuried out, so probably kinda heavy? How do you think I would do against that thing?

 

I think they run like high 14's or maybe low 15's at the slowest stock. And I know the new 05's are a bit quicker than the previous years. So a mildly modded v6 would probably get beaten by one. But hey race him and let us know what happens.

 

I drove one for 14 hours straight (galveston island tx to middle Tn) and those things will haul some ***. 1st gear pulls like a son of a bitch in those things. Dont put any $$$ on it, jsut race for fun. He will stomp a mudhole in ur ***. lol

 

What part of TN did you drive too? I know of subject. LOL.

 

If you are a v-6 don't even mess with it. I had a run-in with one of the 05 maximas about 1 month ago and I was very surprised how quick they were. He got me a little bit off the line, only because he was in front of me at the light, but by about 45-50 I was next to him and by 70 when I let off I was about 1-2 cars ahead of him and I'm a fairly stock 04 gt.

 

yeah those cars are fast theyll do 60 in about 6.5 sec (350z engine)

 

They can do high 14 second 1/4s and they come off the line quickly - good low end gearing. I'd be careful.

 

Those things can run with GT's dont bother.

Don't be discouraged. With a few more mods you would be able to hang. I'm thinkin some gears, headers, ud pulleys and possibly a little shot of nitrous ..
