2005 Maxima
I totalled off our montana, i got t boned, wasn't my fault haha but we ended up gettin a 05 altima. 3.5 v6 265 hp. F do those things go i was doing 30 km on a slick highway n it starte to spin when i bunch on it. not sayin much considerin how it was slippery but still haha. They got a sequential mode trannny in them. They dont have no 1,2,3 there a spot where you move the shifter over and just push up and down, pretty much a clutchless manual. real fun to drive.

I used to live in Milan, Tn. Thats right around Jackson(which is an hour west of memphis), but I am going to school in Knoxville now. Where do you live?

I drove one for 14 hours straight (galveston island tx to middle Tn) and those things will haul some ***. 1st gear pulls like a son of a bitch in those things. Dont put any $$$ on it, jsut race for fun. He will stomp a mudhole in ur ***. lol

you own a v6 so i think pretty much the same... but talking about a manual 2004 gt i'd say the MUSTANG takes it.... i heard now nissans have all same motor as the z350 but with diffrent heads,cc and stuff and the fastest is the 350 z.... thats what i heard

The 350Z is the fastest, but its still a dog. Almost 30 more hp than a stock GT, but still gets its *** handed to them. And I've heard that basic bolt ons does almost nothing to them. I rather on the Infiniti G35, much better lookin in my opinion.

If you consider the 350Z a "dog" you surely consider your own 01 GT a "dog" too.
Since they run about exactly the same times (high 13's to low 14's) and 350Z's are actually
trapping FASTER than the 99-04 MGT's. 350Z's are trapping 1-2 mph faster.
The MGT has the torque advantage down low, which keeps them close at low speeds, but
the DOHC 24V V6 has the hp advantage up top and that's what makes them start to pull away
as speeds increase.
And basic bolt on's do okay with the engine. A $150 plenum spacer gives the car about 10-15 hp alone.
The differences between the 3.5 liter engines in the various Nissan/Infiniti cars are all MINOR.
Everything internal is the same, the real only differences is slight intake and exhaust differences and
minor ECU tuning.
Altima is 250 hp
Altima SE-R is 260 hp
Maxima is 265 hp
G35's are 280 hp auto and 298 manual (really 300 but they just say 298 so the 350Z can
have the "highest" rating of 300 hp.
On several dynos however, the power differences are much less than the 50 hp Nissan claims
between the Altima and the 350Z.
Usually the 350Z dynos about 20-25 hp more than the Altima.
The Maxima is dynoing at only about 3-5 hp more than the Altima and equal to
what the SE-R Altima dynos at.
The G35's and 350Z are all dynoing similiar on the same dynos.
