I'm with you to tell you the truth. 850 hp is a lot of power for a bored/stroked four banger to handle safely.</p>
It probably only survived for the first dyno run then blew the head off the block...</p><edited><editID>Admin</editID><editDate>38027.8774421296</editDate></edited>
don't know about 850 whp but lance thompson from vt competition engines built a b18 bored to 1.9 liters, and a turbonetics kit, and the final numbers put down was 722 whp and 504 lb-ft of torque. but that was on 116-octane race fuel and boost was at 37 psi. on regular fuel and boost at 18 psi the motor layed down 536 whp and 361 lb-ft torque. </P>
oh as a side note, honda tuning is creating an all wheel drive integra. its interesting how things are going with that, using parts from the crv. </P>
since boost is reflective upon what an engine makes naturally aspirated that means that an engine with lets say 300hp is boosted to between 14-15lbs of boost would have twice the power therefore 600hp. This is based on the fact that natural aspiration uses natural air pressure which is like 14.7 psi and dubling the pressure doubles horesepower. Read that off the procharger site thought it was good shiznit

I haven't seen a car with 450 whp spin on the dyno.. I saw a 485 whp cobra on the dyno and didn't have a problem. I never understood why he didn't have a problem after hearing about this wheel spin stuff.</P>

Anything's possible...all it takes is a little time and the right amount of money. I've never heard of a Honda putting out that type of power, but i've heard of Supra's putting out some crazy numbers...One was 1000 horsepower....and that was from the fast and furious video...when they were talking to one of the technical editor's.. He claimed that his car could beat any car they had there....And it was a gold supra...It looked tight....Very nice ride.</P>

I don't think there's any import that can run 8's. If there is, it isn't anywhere near streetable...<edited><editID>95LT1</editID><editDate>38014.5685300926</editDate></edited>

I can think of two cars that could hit 8's maybe even lower. Mazda RX-7 R1 or the Toyota Supra Turbo. Those cars come stock with more than 300 Horsepower and the supra hits 0-60 in 4.4 seconds. That's faster than the 03 cobra. Not to mention there's thousands of mod's you can add. The supra has just as much aftermarket toys to play with as the Mustang. I don't really like imports....But they got some s**t for yo ***...Believe that. Add a little bit liquid courage and you could probably reach those numbers.</P>
