Raced an Evo
I got a chance to race an Evo tonight on the highway. I was aproaching him in the fast lane to line up properly. When I got within one car of him he decided to punch it and I was still in 4th. Needless to say I punched it and started pulling on him and passed. After I got about 1 full car past him, he gave up. I slowed down and kept my eye on him in my mirror but he was staying behind me, so I switched to 5th to just cruise. Randomly a few minutes later I see him start pulling hard so I switch down to 4th and punch it but it wasn't good enough. He passed me pretty fast and after about 3 cars we started to pull the same. At that point we were going to fast to continue so we both shut down. I rolled down my window to give him thumbs up cause I'm a good sport but he started driving like a maniac in and out of lanes and making stupid moves. I guess he had something to prove, not sure. Thats all, sorry for the rambling....

are you certain that it was an evo, not a lancer? an evo with an AWFUL driver can run faster than your times, and the hardest part of drag racing the evo is launch...so unless there was something wrong with it, the evo should have easily pulled on you...not trying to talk trash, but the evos are pretty healthy...especially if it was an evo IX...with minor mods such as exhaust, intake, and a MBC, they are good for 12s...

i bet it was a stock evo cause like the majority of awd cars i bet they blow on the freeway. My friends 4 door gtp which is practically stock destroys wrxs real bad on the freeway, and his car only runs like a high 14.
