Default Initial impressions - J&M camber plates

Even though my alignment showed to be in spec after I installed my Vogtland springs last June, I've been noticing some inner tire wear. Decided to go with J&M camber plates because they have a fairly good reputation and were $197 thru American Muscle, which is much cheaper than the Maximum Motorsports plates.

For the past year I've been running GT500 upper mounts. They started out OK but recently they've started clunking and grinding just like the stock ones did. Here are some thoughts:

- The J&M mounts are a bit noisy going over bumps at low speed. I'd say they are noisier than the GT500 mounts. This doesn't bother me as I expected a bit more NVH. Another thing is there is some up and down play on the J&Ms, which will lead to some noise.

- Obviously the J&Ms are much better built. Anyone who has spun the stock or GT500 mounts by hand knows why they fail - the design is poor and the material selection is poor. And they are made in France

- It was much easier than I expected to adjust the camber. Fine-tuning is not difficult even with the tire on.

- After getting the camber specs where I want them, the car tracks very straight and handles well.
