I just picked up my 2012 V6 Base 6mt and I am interested in upgrading my suspension. This is my DD but am also interested in making it mine and also making it better. I do not plan on track days, there is nothing close by. I have read the suspension sticky and have been lurking for about a week but have several questions regarding my options. I plan to upgrade to 18x9 wheels, and nothing too drastic in terms of width.

I am interested in possibly a 1" drop, to lose the 4x4, however even with this small drop, how much will I need to change to bring geometry/alignment back into spec? Springs are cheap, but how much will it cost me on top of that?

Are the suspension packages worth consideration? Example, the FRPP or Eibach packages on AM.

If I use one of those packages, will I run into problems with alignment and need PHB, CC plates, etc?

Are they complete set-ups that require nothing else to work as intended? I haven't been able to find much regarding these set-ups.

My budget isn't set in stone yet. I don't want to be cheap with it, I want to do it right and reliable. But at the same time I see no need for me to go ***** out with this project.

Is there a bare minimum, as far as what needs to be upgraded and what can be left alone and still be reliable?
