Default Suspension Wars - Episode 1 :)

hi all

i'm planing my suspension mods right now and have been reading a lot already. my first step is the following:

- kony yellows
- steeda sport springs
- cc plates

my stang is a daily summer driver and i'm not racing. i only want better suspension and slight lowering. it's already munching my front tires on the inside even at stock height so it surely won't get better with an inch drop. seems like the shop where i changed my lower a-arms didn't do the alignment very well. so cc plates are a must because of lower springs (in addition to the weakness of the stock strut mounts).

i'm considering the steeda hd mounts, but am ready to spend 50 bucks more for the mm if i really need caster adjustment for my ride. of course i'm not sad if i can get some alternative for less.

anybody who can enlighten me?

thanks a lot
nick

Caster can be a nice adjustment for improved cornering and especially if you have wider than OEM wheels/tires. If you are looking for improved cornering or feel you may at some point, spend the extra money and gain the adjustability of an aftermarket CC plate.

Thanks for the welcome

I'm aware of the fact that I need adjustable plates, as the car will be lowered a bit with the Steeda springs. Just didn't know if I need the more expensive ones by MM or if the Steeda HD would be sufficient.

My pony is running on 245/35/20 and 285/30/20

It can only be an advantage to run a CC plate that allows a wider range of adjustment, so I would get the plates that allow just that.
