Default Subframe connectors

So I will be purchasing full length subframe connectors and having them installed in a few months. I have a friend who is a really good TIG welder and he said he would do it for me free of charge (not including the beer) My question is whether a TIG weld will work fine in this application as I see a lot of subframes are welded via MIG welding. Does it really matter? Which is better?

TIG is MUCH better than MIG, though MUCH harder to weld. If your friend is good with a TIG, pay him the beer to do it.

Ya I think tig is actually overkill for subframes but it does keep the heat concentrated in a minimal area. Mig is faster and easier if the metal isn't totally clean, ie the underside of a car. Ya u better get good beer, not Busch light. Lol

Haha alright thats for the advice. Should I worry about my interior floor heating up too much? I know some guys put bags of ice on the ground.

If you smell carpet burning you've been there too long.

Mig welded mine and I didn't have any issues with the carpet burning/melting.
