Default Stock sub frame connectors

I have read a lot of articles of the advangte of using sub frame connectors. My questions is what or how much of a different in stiffness of the frame . If you have OEM frame connectors, will the weld in kind make that much of a different with a DD car? At what stage of mods will you need to add the weld in in kind?

I would think if you have OEM frame connectors you will be fine for a DD car. They are intended to stiffen up the car to keep it from twisting in a high HP car. If you have upgraded the engine, or you are running it at the track, you would probably want the weld in connectors, but again for a DD, I would think you are good.

Your '01 coupe doesn't have OE subframe connectors. Convertibles and the Mach 1 came with bolt-on OE subframe connectors. I installed Maximum Motorsports full length weld-on subframe connectors on my Mach 1 and they are the first modification you should make if you're upgrading the suspension.

They make a huge difference on a daily driver. Make sure you weld them on with the car on a four post ramp/lift. The car's weight needs to be supported on its wheels when welding.

Hi, thanks for the information. I agree they did not come stock on my car. But , back in 2003 i had them installed at my Local Ford dealership. After my warraanty was up. So, i could start running the car at the Dragstrip. They have been on my car for the last 10 years. I see everyone suggest the weld in kind. My car is a DD now. Very few times i run at strip anymore. I will see if any of my friends has them. And take a ride, to see if how much of a different they will make. Thanks

All I wanted to do was see the pictures and I still can't. I want to know what the OEM one's looked like so I could figure out if mine were or weren't.
Any help with seeing the OEM ones is greatly appreciated.

I threw mine away. The OEM connectors are BOLTED ON. If you can take yours off, they are OEM. Look for bolts.

POST PICTURES OF YOURS.

2003 GTs were never equipped with factory subconnectors.
