I just put an 04 rack in my 1990 5.0 and now whenever the wheel is turned there is an awful squealing noise and the engine stalls. It has a new pump and lines so I don't understand the issue.

 

Problem solved! The guy who put the rack in didn't properly bleed the system. A quick bleeding of the system and now the steering is perfect. So anyone who was wondering: yes an 04 rack will fit in a fox body with no modification other than new inner tie rods.
