While it won’t be exact I want a Mustang which will be the closest thing to an American 4dr Miata coupe.

So is a 2005-2014 V6 or S550 ecoboost the best starting for what I’m looking for?

Satisfying manual transmission

Communicative steering

I don’t particularly care about being the fastest 0-60 or for engine sounds.

Happy to invest reasonable amounts of money in sway bars and springs/shocks or coilovers to make this happen but curious to know which Mustang platform is the best starting point.
