rough cold starts

Default rough cold starts

every time I start the car when it sits for a few hours the car idles all funny and turns off unless I give it some gas. I was told this can be the air idle speed sensor/valve is this info correct?

well if there is alot of miles on it the i would start with a simple tune up like plugs wires fuel filter there is many things that could cause that

67000 miles on it but it sat for a while, already did plugs, cap/ rotor,wires , I bought the fuel filter along with the pcv valve which are pending install

give it a try those are all things that should have been replaced becasue the milage

Mine does that sometimes too, but rarely stalls out. I've never really had any drivability issues from it though.

A couple things:

1. SVOs do not have a check engine light

2. I am guessing either the ECT or the TFI. I am leaning more towards the ECT. Run codes and see what you get.
