Would it be a bad or good idea to make my first mod a pulley/chip?

 

why would it be bad. Is your car stock??

 

All but flow mufflers on it. I am wondering if I would be able to use it to the fulle xtent with that as my only reasonable mod...

 

I have a 03' redfire cobra . I have already added a 2.75" pulley and added a diablo pulley program to it, and i have only had it for over a week and a half. I can tell you this, this has so far been the best bang for my buck, it only was about 440 or so for everything (pulley, gatorback, and diablosport programmer). Get it, its worth it. Hey, just wondering, how did you get your car's pic on there?

 

yeah i would say do it but you should also get some DR's.

 

I am making sure that since this will be my first mod, will it be able to produce as much rwhp and rwtq as it would if I had full exhaust, cai, heat exchangers, etc. etc. etc.

This is no doubt the bast bang for the buck! On my last 03 cobra, I dynoed bone stock at 369 rwhp and 350 rwt. I added a 2.93 upper pulley and a K&N filter and laid down 425 rwhp and 450 rwt. with the Predator pulley tune. I then had it dyno tuned by a professional tuner and the numbers jumped to 451 rwhp and 460 rwt. Definitely do the pulley! It can only get a little stronger with a CAI and exhaust!
