To answer the question once and for all! Was there an SVT (non-Cobra R) for 2000?

No 2000 Cobras were produced because of the problems with the 1999 models, but SVT unveiled the 2000 SVT Cobra R. Rs were only available in red. They had no heater, air conditioner, rear seat, or sound deadening material. What it did have were a new front valence, side exhaust, racing seats, a 5.4L V-8 pushing 385-hp, and exclusivity--only 300 were made.

Saleen continued to provide high-performance Mustangs with its S-281 and supercharged S-281 SC, which started at $38,000.

and in 99 the only cobra colors available were Black, Red, White and Green and cobra colors for 2001 were Zinc Yellow, Laser Red, Performance Red, True Blue, Mineral Grey, Black, Silver, and White

the only mustang available in gold was in 2000 as a regular mustang and it was Sunburst Gold(BP) and only 5,171 were made, i talked to svt personell personally and there were no 2000 cobra's and i dont think they lie so if you still want to believe your right were gunna need to see a copy of the certificate from svt otherwise its probably just a 2000gt with cobra badges and wheels
I know this thread is hella old, I barely just started driving but I have 1, long, question. Why is it so hard to believe they started building vehicles in 99 (or any year really), then stopped building them for whatever reason and a few people may or may not have gotten their hands on one? Crazier things have happened. No? Just sayin'. This is like arguing the moon landing but do any of us really know? Were any of us there? All we know is what we read and what people say, so at the end of the day, I can't really speak on the subject except for making my opinion known. And you know what they say about opinions. I tend to not speak on things I'm not 100% sure on and I definitely don't just believe something I heard or read. So at that point without 100% proof, I just leave it at "I don't know" and stay neutral on the subject (whatever that subject may be). It decreases the amount of times you can be called a liar, idiot, dumbazz etc... Giving out false information, which happens too often because of people's opinions and assumptions, is something I none of us should do.
