Alright i'm really opening my self up here but here it goes.
Basically i just bought an 03 Silver Mustang Cobra Convertible. I dont know anything about the car as far as what i can modify to make it faster. I was hoping some people could give me a basic run down of mods and how and why they work as well as the effects they have. I understand most of you are experts but i appreciate any advice.

Congrats on your new ride!! I would start with a good cold-air kit. The factory air box and silencer really take away your gains! The next mod would be a good cat-back. There have been several dynographs that will back up a 18 to 20 rwhp gain. I think it was last month's 5.0 mag that had a bolt on extravaganza on the 03/04 cobras!! After these two mods, you will need some better tires! You should be a little over 400 rwhp with these simple mods. This should get you started!
A good handheld tuner is a nice piece to have for tuning purposes. SCT and Diablosport have some of the finest on the market! I have a Predator, but I hear the X-Cal 2 is the bomb!!! For the really big gains, an upper or lower pulley, sometimes both, will give you the best HP and torque gains! BUT with the addition of a pulley, you WILL need a good tune!! Make sure you use a good reputable tuner for your tuning needs!! I hope this helps ya out a bit! We are a brotherhood bro, there are plenty of kewl guys/ gals that will help ya out!

Putting a smaller pully on rotates the supercharger faster thus condensing air more rapidly.
A tuner reprograms the cars computer for different things such as advancing the timing and other things.
