Default Is this Cobra worth it?

Hey kinda new here, and new to Cobra's..

Looking at buying a 2003 Cobra there is a small crack in the Bumper no big deal to me tho its minor, The supercharger has been ported and the car is running 15psi. It was obvious there was a different pulley on it, and a aftermarket tensioner/pulley to keep the belt tighter?
Car has 20,000 miles on it very clean. comes with a Diablo tune. all for $23,000.

Good deal or not? I heard something about the heads or ticking noises from early 03" car sounds good and is unbelievably fast. Claims low 11's high 10's. He says its been dyno'd at 510rwhp and 500lbs of torque.

Anything I should look out for on them?

Thanks
Shawn

Run a carfax. I just bought one with 3,000 miles on it for 25,500. The ticking noise are on the cars built before november i think. Sounds like a good deal to me. Ive seen a cobra with 583 rwhp run 10.68's so its possible with drag radials. I would just make sure everything was tuned properly. Goodluck with it!

So, are you saying there is not a pulley on the car anymore. Was the car put back to stock, including the factory tune. Honestly, for two grand more you could find one with no crack and no mods. Maybe I just need more info on the car, but I would not buy it. I would rather start with a clean slate so I know everything was done correctly. Getting a 03/04 with 510 at the wheels into the 10's is quite a driving feat as well. Low 11's more likely. Does the car still have the IRS?

1) Get the VIN and run a CarFax.
2) Have it checked out by a mechanic.
3) Low-ball on the deal.
4) if everything checks out...buy it!

The guy has 3 mustangs including this 1, a 67 and a 8 second racecar like a 96 or sumthing. He says it was dynoed and tuned It has a diablo tuner with it so I dont know what tune it has. I will probably have it retuned to make sure its all good. It runs extremely well.the guy seems to know his chit.

I have the vin I dont know what carfax is? 1FAFP48Y73F432972

The car has the aftermarket pulley on charger and another aftermarket pulley near it to tighten the tension? He said it keeps the belt tight.
Car has a CAI,Ported blower from steegmeyer(have you heard of them),flowmasters 2.5" BBK Off road H-pipe, a boost gauge on the column. I think a few other mods. He says he ahs 4500 into mods?It has drag radials on it but they are worn alot.

I'm a Diesel Mechanic at a freightliner dealership it appears to be a sound car.

Just wondering if it was a good deal.

Thanks to all who has replied.
