Default 1999 Cobra Maintenance Schedule

Hi Everyone,

Just purchased a 1999 Mustang Cobra w. 60,000 miles. My first American car in 25 yrs and first muscle car ever. The vehicle did not come with the owner's manual but I ordered a replacement plus the Ford Workshop Shop Manual from Helm, Inc. Both manuals arrived today. After looking at the manuals I still have some questions. If anyone can help the newbie many thanks in advance.

* Where can I find a copy of the factory maintenance schedule. Neither the owners manual or the workshop manual has it and Helm, Inc. does not carry it.
* Replacing the rear brake pads requires a special rear caliper piston adjuster - Part# T87P-2588-A. Do I need to get this from Ford or do parts stores like Autozone have an equivelent?
* How often do people change their spark plugs? If the engine is stock but occasionally driven hard (autocrossing) should I go up or down one heat range in spark plugs?

Again, many thanks in advance!

I have a maintenance schedule in MS excel format if you would like a copy. PM me your email and I will send it right away.

You can get the brake tool at any local parts store i.e. O'reilys, AZ, etc.

I change my plugs every other oil change or 4000 miles basically. That is an extreme approach. When I had an 01 I changed them every 10K miles, but you could go every 50K miles if you wanted. As for a heat range I think you are fine with the stock plugs unless you go power adder. Then of course adjust accordingly.
