my friend's boyfriend just bought a 93 mustang "cobra". my question is i know in 93 the cobra's had the running horse grille instead of the ford symbol. his car had the ford symbol in the grille instead of the running horse and it has gt on the side skirts(that i dont know about but think its not suppost to be there). it has the cobra tail lights and wing but the wing looked newly painted. and he said it was totally original besides the rims which where the newer cobra's... so did he get ripped off or is it a real cobra??

 

You can contact SVT and give them the VIN off the car. Their # is 1-800-367-3788. I would also check the body panels and see if the VIN #'s are all the same.

 

easier way, look at the VIN, if the 8th digit is a D, it is a Cobra, if it is an E, it is a normal 5.0, if it is a S, it is a 2.3
