Every time I turn the wheel and especially at low speeds I hear a popping noise and feel it in the steering wheel. Any Ideas what it could be? It is an 03 Cobra with 36K miles. I need to have my rotors turned because I am also getting vibration in the steering wheel when I brake moderately hard. The previous owner said he changed out the front brakes. Think he did something wrong? Could the two problems be connected?

I have to get the problem solved it is driving me crazy.

 

My gets very jumpy when i brake hard too, but i only notice it when i'm braking hard at 100+mph. Someone said that my rotors must be a little bit warped and i only feel it at high speeds.

 

mine does it also if i am am braking hard from speeds over 100 i can feel it in the brake pedal and the wheel.

 

have you checked your power steering fluid? is it tough to turn the wheel at all?

 

No the wheel is easy to turn, but I will check my fluid to be sure.

It goes in spells. Some days it pops bad other days not at all. It does seem to pick up when I go over a speed bump. [&:] It sounds like something is loose and popping back and forth. I am supposed to take it in to the dealer Monday to get it checked out, so it prob won't be acting up when I take it in. I have to get it figured out within the next 4k miles or my warranty will be out. If I dont then the day my warranty goes out, my freakin' wheels will pop off or something.
