Ford Ranger Thunderbolt???
I was crusin around town and saw a black Ford Ranger (maybe mid 90's) that had Thunderbolt emblems on the sides and rear. It had a body kit and cobra rims. Looked bad *** and factory made, but did Ford or anyone make a Ranger Thunderbolt?

RE: Ford Ranger Thunderbolt???
Ford had a SVT Ranger prototype that I saw in 2003 at the WFC 6...nothing more than a prototype, it was a shame that they never made it. As for the Thunderbolt, the Thunderbolt was a lightweight Galexie (1963) or Fairlane (1964) built for drag racing

RE: Ford Ranger Thunderbolt???
No it said Thunderbolt, but under the word it did have the lightning bolt. I should have asked them about it, but I was in line to get some MickyD's. My boss said that Chevy made an S-10 Cyclone which was a specialty, so I'm wondering if this was Fords response to it. The Cyclone had a 350ci in it. I know Saleen played around with a Ranger but I dont know if anything came of it and I really think this came from SVT. Theres a car show coming up this week and hopefully I'll see it to get some pics and info.

apparently, SLP turns the Ranger into a Thunderbolt (begining in 2002). It's an option when buying one at a dealership that has three stages to it. I just typed in Ranger Thunderbolt in a search. Check it out if you're curious like me.
