Default Supercharger Fluid?

I went to my local Ford dealership to get some of the supercharger fluid but at first nobody there knew what I was talking about. AND it's a roush dealer! Before I left one of the fellas found it in a parts catalog. But I want to make sure its the right one. The part number is XL*4* and they have it going for $21.32 a bottle. Can anyone confirm this is it and how many bottles does the supercharger hold? I'm going to attempt to do it myself seeing how my Ford dealership has obviously never done one. Any tips are appreciated.

Yes, the XL-4 is what you want. It takes 6-8 ounces to fill your s/c. You will need an automotive syringe or syphon pump to get the old fluid out of your s/c.

Yup, that's it. I just did mine yesterday. It took one and a half bottles. It's simple, but a pain in your back. Use a 3/16 in allen wrench to unscrew the drain/fill plug. Put some rags under it, as the fluid will first drain on its own. After it stops draining, use the syringe or a syphon to suck the rest of it out. Make sure you get all the way to the bottom of the S/C. Once done, fill it up until it begins to drain on its own and then screw the bolt back in.

Thanks guys. $45 dollars later I have 2 bottles of the fluid. I'll tackle it this weekend and let ya know how much of a pain it ends up being. I'm not neccesarily mechanically inclined but I figure it can't be that difficult...

I believe I read somewhere that it is every 30,000 miles (probably on here). PLEASE someone clarify this once and for all!
