I really need everyone's advice on this so let me explain the situatin.

I bought a used 2003 Cobra Convertible.
I noticed that the passgenger side of the top was raising a little slower than the driver's side, dragging a little bit.
I took it to 2 dealers and they said it was normal. Is this true??

Now all the staples holding the top on, on the back have fallen out and the top is bubbling really bad.
Has anyone had this problem, is it normal for the staples to just fall out?!

Can anyone tell me if they have had any problems like this, please share your experience. I really need help on this because i dont want to keep dumping money into something if it is a design flaw on Ford's part.

 

say man that happened to my old ladys 99 vert , take the back seat bottom out then take the side panel out. theres a bolt with a bracket there , you will see what i mean , the body shop left the bolt off or they didnt tighten it good cause the bracket and off the bolt was lating under the seat ,,check it out , you should see how it goes if not take the other side panel out it see. let us know! o/ps i think you got to take the seat back part out too
