Hey guys,

I just picked up my 2001 Cobra 2 days ago and I need to get a short throw shifter for this beast. Does anyone know where I can buy one? and what brands are good? Also, what type of tranny do I have on this car? Thanks in advance!

First of all, congratulations on your new car! You have a tremec TR3650 transmission in your cobra. Steeda makes the triax shifter (Which I have and recommend). There are also shifters from pro 5.0, UPR, and probably half a dozen other places. From my experience and what I've seen on various message boards, stick with the steeda or the pro 5.0. If you get the steeda, buy it from partshopper.com, not steeda.com. It is more expensive to buy direct from steeda since they don't compete with companies that sell their products. Hope this helps.
