Default '99 svt cobra...

Looking at getting this '99 svt cobra. Only around 70k on her. I don't need to know if I should get it or not (cause it's a pretty good deal.) I'm just wondering what kind of stock times I can expect since I don't plan on getting new parts for a while. I'm an average driver. Anyone have a '99 and have some stock 1/4 mile times? Thanks.
Here's a pic, sharp huh?

He's asking 14k for it but I can probably talk him down. He says these run "13.1 bone stock", but he hasn't taken it to the track and just says to ask any Mustang owner. But if you say high 13's then it makes me wonder if there are other things he's not being honest about. Are there maybe factory freaks that will do 13.1 or is this way off?

He hasn't said much else. It is a stick shift but I think all the SVT Cobras of this year are manuals, right? So even with a manual he's still high 13's? I'll just keep reading around here for a while and keep asking questions. Those 70k could be pretty hard miles.

Depends on what you call stock. Otherwise, still quite possible.

Dont Do It!!
I just paid $14,500 for mine with 42K miles on it.
I was looking around for a while, and there were a ton of 99 Cobras with 50K miles or less, all for about $15,000.
Plus, I wouldn't buy one of these with that many miles on it. This is the second Ford I have owned, and in my experience, small things start breaking at about 50K miles (bring on the flames).
Right now I have a beat wiper motor, and I just replaced a rear wheel bearing that was completely toast. I also have a weird problem with the AC compressor. The power dips every time the compressor cycles, which is about every 10 seconds.

If I were you, I'd look around a LOT before you decide on something.

And DO NOT pay $14K for a Cobra with 70K miles on it! You can do better.
