The 03 cobra is really making closer to 425 to the crank. They make on average 360-380rwhp depending on the car. the Cobra R does not. Therefore the 03 cobra will take it. A few hundred pounds? You crazy.

last i heard bout this argument...someone actually had a cobra R and took it to the 1/4...i think it ran a 12.9. but the reason for such a low time is because its setup for the track. stock to stock. its a tossup. i would put my money on the R with a good driver.

I'd say the 03/04 Cobras. They have more hp and will reach their hp just a tad slower and tq quite a bit faster.

The 2003, 2004 Cobras...390hp(underrated) SUPERCHARGED.
Lets do the math.....01 Cobra has 320hp...so the 03/04 Cobras are infact more towards 425hp...so that's basically 100hp MORE FROM a S/C. Now....lets supercharge the 385hp N/A 2000 Cobra R with the same amount of boost and see what we get. I bet it'll be more than an extra 100hp.

how do u have any clue wether or not the cobra r can handle boost. Its the same engine (block) as a lightning and they handle boost just fine last time i checked. If you're telling me they didnt include forged pistons and rods in the limited production, high out out cobra r (race ready car) then i'll pipe down.
