Default engine mods

im geting an engine rebuild for my 97 cobra i have about a thousand to put into the engine after the cost of the rebuild and labor what all should i put into my engine to get the most horsepower for the money?????????????????[&:]

hmmm, you could go with a few basic bolt ons and definatley switch out the rear gears to something higher. Umm you could also try tires, now those arent hp proven but definatley 1/4 proven

if not included in the rebuild i would p&p the heads and maybe some stout cam, that car would be nasty.

i have 4 10 gears and suspension 150 shot of nitrous cold air intake off road h pipe upgraded tranny flow master exast am about to get long tube pace headers plus i have some look efects like stripes roll bar back seat delete sub screen etc i am trying to take the next step in modding and need advice i was thingkin about cams but i heard a rummor that a cam upgrade didnt do much for dual ove head cams in that year car idk but ya p&p is defintly on my list i just needed some advice on what would be good and what brands to aslso to use for cams etc in the engine that are reasonably priced

for cams i recommend comp cams, thats just my 2 sense. Patriot makes decent heads but so does p&p

like muscleownzrice said, comp cams. and they will help big time with the stuff that you have done and a good tune.

save it up til you can get a forged bottom end, with that 150 shot on stock internals, you dont wanna waste that 1000 when it could come in handy when you blow a piston, that amount for any prelonged time is sure to cause damage, atleast some rods and pistons, if you can assemble and engine yourself i'd say use the 1000 on those two things
