car moves when engine off. when engine runs brakes are on

Well you have power brakes.. When you shut the car off you loose them and breaking is just about gone.. Kind of like power steering.. Car on, its easy.. Car off, its hard..

+1 yea brakes dont really work when the engine is off......its like that is all cars

 

Somebody forgot to set the parking brake while parking on a hill and leaving his car in nuetural.

 

while the car is off it can be pushed and rolled. when I start the car it locks the brakes without pushing the brake pedal in.Even as I drive the brakes are locked. The opposite of what should be happening. What do you guys think is going on?
