Lowering my 93 Cobra

Lowering my 93 Cobra
I've been toying with the idea of lowering my stock 93 with a set of Eibach PRO-KIT lowering springs, these spring are rated to lower it 1.2 inches up front and 1.0 inches in the rear. Has anyone done this to their pony? If so, are there pro's and con's on the install, handling and overall ride? Thanks.

RE: Lowering my 93 Cobra
Pros: Extremely Improved handling.
Meaner look
Cons: Bumpier/Stiffer ride
Speed bumps are best avoided
Check Saleen springs before Eibach. And make sure both front and rear are lowered the same amount. If you want the slant look, get a staggered set of rims.

RE: Lowering my 93 Cobra
The Pro-Kit is pretty conservative really... My 97 was lowered with a set of them that was good for 1.5 inches. The springs are dual rate, so they provide good ride... At least for my year of cobra (which was more like an all terain vehicle in stock form) the look is right on and I don't have to worry about speed bumps or the like... I have a set of Sportline springs on my other one though... now they do make me watch the changes in the road and they are just another half an inch of a drop... On second thought, do some measuring as to where the lowest point of your car will end up once lowered just to be on the safe side with your year of stang... nice looking car by the way....

Thanks for the info. From what I can tell the PROKIT will set the car right where I want it without having to worry (to much) about changes in road elevation and speed bumps all the while getting the improved handling and stance that I'm looking for. I'm hoping to havethe kit installed w/in a week or so, I'll update with a photo. Thanks again!
