Responsible he says! Thats what you said to your mom to let you get the car. I will gaurentee you when you get the car, someone will want to race you and you'll give in. That or in my case, no one will want to race you because you have a cobra. The 1/4 mile times depend on whos driving the car.

Well you said almost perfect, which makes sense. What kind of shifting are you doing? Double-clutch shifting or shifting without letting off the gas? Each person had their shifting style. There's really not much of a time difference, but if you got really good...maybe high 12's/low 13's. Thats completely stock! Now you do what I have "plans" for...you're talking 10's maybe...MAYBE very high 9's. Of course overall weight helps when its as low as you can get it. So dont go deleting your back seat, lighter wheels, and a bunch of CF everywhere, but then put 200 lbs of stereo stuff in your trunk like those ricers!

yeah.....i really wanted to cobra because you can make them REALLY fast besides the fast they're fast already lol.....i cant believe high 12s, low 13s....stock, thats freaking awsome! i do have plans on fixing up the interior and stuff.....and i will defiantely have a sub in the trunk or , atleast somewhere in the car...since, my parents think its too fast now, i cant make it even faster before i even drive so i'm not going to put any money into the engine...

i'll fix up the exhaust....do some interior work and then buy engine mods but not install them until a while after i drive....

and what exactly is double clutch shifting....my uncle did it sometimes but i never saw what he was exactly doing

Double-clutching is kindof difficult to explain so I'll try my best at this scenerio. First, know this: when you press in the clutch...the rpms will jump from about 500-1000 like that! Lets say you're in first getting ready to shift and the gas is floored. When your rpms reach about 5500-6000 you very quickly press the clutch and let go in about 1/3 of a sec. Before the rpms go down you'll press the clutch in and shift. this will keep your rpms high which is where most of the cars power is. Speed shifting is never taking your foot off the gas but your still pressing the clutch in and shifting. I would recommend not doing either of these shifts very often!

When you but a new exhaust DO NOT get shorty headers! You might actually lose hp and tq. Go to this website and read: www.headersbyed.com/bildbetr.htm Get long tube headers with less then 4" difference between the longest and shortest tubes and a long collector.Get 3 in. pipes if you can (they sound better than 21/2...deeper and more powerful tone). Im gettingmy headers custom made for my car, buyingall the piping then adding cats/mufflers.I'll have different sections with flanges so if I need to replace a cat, I just unscrew the old one and screw in the new.Same goes with mufflers, x-pipe, and tips. Im putting the Roush side exits on mine but not the Roush exhaust system...Flowmaster super 40's!My sh*t's gonna be sick!!!

Its not supercharged yet. You dont "turbo" domestics; you supercharge them. lol Its cool I was dumb when I started on this forum. But I learned quick...thats why you're here. I plan on putting a Kenne Bell9psi intercooled8-rib S/C (13-21 total psi) but that means changing my internals to forged pistons, rods, new suspension. Yeah...BEAST!!! Once I get it done, I'll make an owner of a GT 500 cry!
