wow! how much hp you think you gonna be putting out?

isnt it a couple grand to get fordged internals? and is the Kenne Bell supercharger better? from what i've been reading and just watching tons of videos on youtube lol, i've noticed that most cobras have the Bell s/c's instead of the prochargers....

and what you do mean you dont 'turbo' domestics?you lost me there lol....and i know what ya meant when you said dumb...i know almost everything on the HEMI engine in my dads truck which i was going to get but now i gotta start learning about the cobras.....this is a whole different set-up so i was thinking about the hemi engine which you would usually turbo for more hp output....the s/c was cheaper for the dodge rams but you dont get as much hp...

 

I dont knowhow much hp I'll have...thats why I'm going with forged internals. and starting with a bare block and starting over. Right now I'm just in the planning stages so price doesnt matter, only quality. I dont know if KB is better but I've heard its better then Roush and Sallen and half the price. I dont really know about preocharger or vortech. Normally when you hear "turbo" you think ricer.

 

99 and 01 cobras arent running late 12's early 13's stock sorry to break it to u..03-04 cobras are running high 12's stock with a good driver..if nto early 13's with a horrible driver..anyways the 99-01 cobras are probablya late 13's if ur a REALLy good driver u can get it in the mid 13's. which is still fast!

 

Yeah,no high 12s stock for sure.I've seen some low 13s at about 106-107mph,but thats with very good drivers.Mid 13s for mearly good drivers and high 13s for average driver.It doesn't take very much to put a 99/01 in the high 12s though,4.10/4.30 gears,DRs,and a couple bolt ons will do the trick.

 

That supra and evo, will chew you up and spit you out. Be careful with those.

I've been embarassed by both of them, obviously not stock, but neither am I.. so.. heh.. just watch out. Cobras are nice, but you'd be ignorant to think your the fastest thing out there.. even in an03-04.

 

Yeah but wasnt the Evo made for racing? Isnt it a rally car?

 

01 and 99 are 320bhp as long as it has the recall done, mine didnt but im now about 320 to the wheels just fixing it with a few things and some minor bolt ons. for the price get a 99/01 and procharge it with some gears and youll walk all over 03/04 stock.

 

yeah.....those evos are fast as hell! how come the supras and cobras always rideor race together?

do you think it'd be worth a 3yrs. wait to get an 03-04 cobrainstead of a 1 1/2 year wait for an 01 cobra....and then i'll have money to put into the 01 cobra....what do you think?

 

haha supras and cobras = equal opposites. I'll get flamed for this, but TT supras are faster out of the box than any modern mustang. (save the GT500)

Supra is really one hell of a car. I almost got one before my cobra, and I still plan on owning one on the side some day.

 

yeah.....on the weekends when all the nice cars are out....theres always my friends evo, 2 GTs, and a supra... and most of the videos online are mustangs against supras.....pretty funny...
