Default 04 Cobra Mid-pipe!

Well,

I ordered my mid-pipe today. I got the MRT h-pipe from Ninosport.com. Let me say first off how nice Nino is. He promptly returned all of my e-mails, and phone calls. The pipe was on sale with free shipping. I should have it put in by this weekend.

Nino said that he has personally dyno'd a stock 03 Cobra and got 12 RWHP. I'm anxious to see what happens with a pullied car. My tuner said that generally exhaust mods will richen a car while intake mods will lean one out. I also plan later on the BilletFlow TB/Plenum.

He said that he tuned my car very conservatively on the rich side, because he figured that I would go that route on future mods.

Sorry Nomo, but I got a quote on a LT installation, and about fell out. Basically, the guy didn't want to fool with it. I still plan on it, but will have to later. A friend already wants the mid-pipe if/when I do switch.

My tuner said that I would be pleasantly suprised. He also said the car would be doing it with less restricition, so less boost. That has to be good for my engine.

!

My wife put her foot down.

Also, it's been awhile since doing any mod that I'm going crazy. I don't think I could have waited for me to save the money for LT's.

Must mod now!!!! [sm=smiley12.gif]

Can't stop now, I have got to make up for the guy that drives this thing so bad!

I do think that after my T/B mod, I will upgrade the Heat Exchanger and start on Suspension work from there on out as I can afford it.

this might (probably is) be a stupid question... but what is a midpipe and what does it do? It's not the pipe that connects the H-X is it?

The mid-pipe is the part of the exhaust that connects the cat-back(mufflers) to the exhaust manifold.

Therfore the mid-pipe is the pipe that contains cats unless it is an off road mid-pipe and is cat-less.

H and X are different mid-pipe designs that pretty much are picked by the sound you like.
