Default Groaning 95 Cobra

My wife's Cobra makes a groaning noise coming from the rear of the car. I'm guessing its a problem with the upper and/or lower control arms. Any suggestions as far as improvements to the original rear suspension or a different diagnosisisappreciated. The groaning occurs when accelerating forward or in reverse or when braking, basically whenever the speed of the car changes.

I would be leaning myself towards more of a rear end problem like a worn out ring and pinion or if u had gears installed maybe they where not installed properly or bearings in the rear end I would start with the rear end myself.
