Stock Style Tips?
I'm a new user to the board, Hello All!
I just picked up a 97 White Cobra, pretty much stock. While doing a front end alignment on the car, I noticed that the previous owner had replaced the stock H pipe with a Bassani X w/ cats. Good enough...
Behind that though, some plain pinched muffler shop bends to a 3 chamber flowmaster, up and over, to the set of stock hacked off tips. [:'(]
The thing is, I really like the style of the stock tips. One stainless piece that is the same size as the pipe. I do not like all the aftermarket kits with a chrome/stainless tip welded on the pipe atthe end. I do not want to see a transition from the pipe to the tip, even if I am laying on the ground beside the car. The end of the tip should also have a cut look (preferably with the notch on the top,) not a rounded over tip.
Does anyone know of a manufacturer out there that makes a unit like I am talking about? Or do I need to just try and save the stock tips?
I don't yet have pics of the car, and I'm about to head out of town, sorry.
