New mods for the New season
With the track opening weeks away i want to put some low buck mods to make my more than a decade old cobra preform respectibly. My goal by the end of the season to have a N/A 12 sec car. My mod to do list is LT headers, CAI, SCT-2, MGW,UD pulleys maybe. I have 373 gears, tociko shocks, eibach springs. Where do you quess that would put me. Also what does a 06 stock goat run in the 1/4?

I think a good driver can get the GTO into low 13's, but I know I couldn't. Can't seem to get the gear changing flow down in that car, and it pisses me off!
What's done to your cobra so far, it appears as though we have the same year.

With the good driver mod, I'd say that you would be in the 12s. Stock, you should be high 13s (if you have a 96), so with your current mods and what you plan to do, I thik you'd make it. Do you have a midpipe and catback already, or are you doing that with the headers? It also depends on tires. Get some drag radials or slicks and you'll be there no problem. Do you have a 96? Have you been to the track at all?

I am getting some flowtech longtubes, the factory h pipe is still on the car along with a set of dynomax bullet mufflers. should i get a mid pipe? My car is stock except gears. Will i need DR's to hit 12's. I raced the car only once last season spun out and and hit 14.2. I couple of good passes and i would say i could get the car in the mid 13s no prob stock.

I'd say more like low 13's. Maybe high 12's. But I doubt it.
Out of all those mods, theres only two things that will really give you a difference at the track (not to say the other mods arent nice or necessary, and unless you switch to forced induction)
which is: gears
and some traction bars.
Those will bring that time down most noticeably, after that youll be shaving of miliseconds.

And yes, if you get lt headers, you need to get a different midpipe. The lt's are just that, long. The stock mid-pipe wont fit with long tubes.
