how much can the t-56 take. ill have my Vortech on my 03 GT next month and im gonna need a new tranny. im lookin at the t-56 because i want a 6 speed. but i want it to be able to handle at least 550hp im lookin to throw 600 at it in the next few months. so can it handle it or do i need to look elsewhere.

not sure on the cost, but it will handle 600 no problem. you'll need a different clutch but the tranny will be fine.

 

The T-56 is bullet proof but the clutch sucks.

Ford racing. Its stiff, but its great. It'll take your leg some getting used to. Red lights can be painful till your used to it haha.

 

i would ask on svt.performance to find out fot sure, i don;t know to many of the big power guys still useing a ford part in their cobras. the stock one is stiff as hell as it sits, at least in the 03-04's

 

hah, i looked at this earlier. your looking at at least 2800 for the parts including the t56, and another about 800 for install. but itll handle it
