Default Mac Long tubes and headers

My buddy is selling his Mac long tubes and headers for 450 for an 01 cobra. I just wanted to know if its a good buy and if it will sound good with Bassani off road x and bassani cat back.

Yea thats a good price. Its going to be loud with an o/r xpipe. Exhaust is all about personal preference.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but you'll need a shorter midpipe if you go with l/t headers.

some one gave me that lift. i got a tall wood fence that hides it from the neighbors.i love it no more jacking cars up

my 03 cobra does sita little low, i got to help it up in the front i little to get the arms under it. but still beats laying on your back, esp. at my age.

Your right, the set up he is selling is the long tubes and x-pipe. Everything I need to put them on for about 450 so I was just seeing if MAC is one of the best to put on my car. Is there a better company to go with instead of MAC?

Just my 2 cents worth, but I wouldn't put Mac on my car if someone gave it to me for free. Do some research and you may find out it's risky to try Mac Long tube headers. I don't have time to go into it, but you can e-mail me if you wish, and I will elaborate. Again, just my 2 cents worth...........

I'll elaborate....some people claimed to have problems with MAC LT headers fitting properly. Some dont have any problems. In short, MAC is adecent brand, but you get what you pay for. If they're coming off another cobra and fit that one, they should fit yours pretty well. I think that MAC catbacks sound OK. not the best by any means, but for the price, they arent bad.

As far as headers, I've heard the most good things about BBK. They are middle of the road. Good fitment and wont break the bank. If you have seroius cash, then get Kooks or something like that. If you dont want to spend too much but still want a decent part, go with MAC.

L/T'sare just a pain in the ***.

the macs got a bad rap. form people thinking thats why there 99 cobras where smoking and using oil , not true , mine had worn out v/guides, and piston slap out the ***, with just 57k on it .i rebuilt motor before selling it ,
